Arbutin, the main active ingredient in Genové Fluidbase Depigmenting Gel, is contained in cyclodextrins which not only allows for a moisturising action but also a controlled release and therefore an increase in the activity of the Arbutin.

The mechanism of action of Arbutin inhibits tyrosinase and thus prevents the formation of melanin. Arbutin is therefore used as a skin lightening agent to prevent excessive pigmentation and even out skin tone.
